Re-post from N&BG: How important is the stroller tray option?

We have a Vista with the bar that goes across the seat, but we just saw the Cruz today and I think we're going to exchange.  It's lighter and less $$, folds easier, doesn't come with the bassinet which I could care less about, still has the huge basket, seat fully reclines and faces both forward and back.. only thing is there's no bar or tray option with the seat.  I feel like this isn't really going to be an issue - the kid can hold one of those no spill bowls for snacks and I think toys and whatnot would just go flying anyway.. I like the idea of not having to fuss with getting her in and out around a bar or tray..  but am I missing something?  Will I rue the day I renounced the tray option?
