aden + anais towels

My BFF has 3 kids so I am always asking her for advice. She said just to use the regular towels we have in our closet for the baby. But I have heard great things about the aden + anais line and bought some of their swaddling wraps. Now I found their hooded towel and wash cloth set. Do you think this is an unnecessary expense or will it be more useful than our regular bath towels? Any second time moms out there? Thanks!
