Hemoglobin a1c test?

My OB has decided to do this to test me for GD since it didn't go well when I did the glucose test with my son. The drink irritated my severe irritable bowel and I had severe stomach cramps to the point of not being able to walk and it threw me into preterm labor at 28 weeks with a positive ffn culture... so I'm happy they've decided to work with me this time and give me an alternative.

Anyone else have this test done? Any feedback/opinion on it?
