Calling vs. FB and Texting everyone

My hubby and I were talking about making a list of phone calls to make after LO makes his or her presence. My hubby thinks it is okay to just post-it on FB and send some texts. I feel like certain people deserve a phone call. Our moms will take care of calling their siblings (our aunts & uncles). But I still think close friends, cousins, and my job deserves a phone call. What is everyone else's plan?
