Umbilical hernia

Have any moms/moms-to-be experienced this?  I'm a FTM and yesterday, out of the blue, I had intense, sharp pains right behind my belly button -- today the sharp pain is gone but the whole are is still very tender.  After talking to the nurse, she suspects I might have a small herniation and to take it easy (no lifting etc) until my next appointment in 2 weeks.  My belly has grown quite a bit this last week, so I'm guessing the extra pressure is contributing to the pain. Just wondering if other moms have gone though the same thing, and how they handled it. Thanks!
