Has anyone experienced this?

I am a teacher and today was an inservice day.  I was feeling fine when all the sudden I got really hot and felt sick.  I thought it might just be another one of those "pregnancy symptoms" I've had.  I went out into the hallway and one of our assistant principals started talking to me.  I grabbed the door and fell over in the hallway.  I couldn't see straight, I couldn't breathe, I couldn't hold myself up.  I think I actually fainted, but I'm not really sure.  Our AP ran to get the nurse and my sister (she works with me).  My sister called my doctor for me and they said the only thing I can do is go into the hospital if I feel that it's necessary.  Otherwise, just lay down and eat some protein but no sugar.  Has anyone had this happen?  If so--did you find out it was something or just another thing that can happen during pregnancy?
