Shower drama

Okay so I moved away from my hometown a few years ago but keep in good contact with everyone I know there including all family and friends/co-workers.  Am finding that everyone wants to go to a potential shower but no one wants to plan it.  My weekends to travel back there are limited by stuff we have going here and not wanting to travel to far into 3rd trimester.  Family is an being absolute pain by not being really enthusiastic about a shower even though they all think I should have one.  How should I approach this without getting completely irritated?
