FMLA?

I was talking to my boss about FMLA and using it for maternity leave. She said that FMLA is only used to keep your spot but didn't cover your paycheck at all.  She also told me that in order to be paid the three months off that I needed to save up my sick and and annual leave and use that when i'm off.  I thought FMLA was used to also pay you 60% of your paycheck while you're out on maternity leave.  I work for the state if that helps.  Any clarification would be great
