Is anyone else planning their own?

I am, and here's why:
I'm VERY detail-oriented. I like things to go perfectly, and I want all creative control. Also, I'm having three showers: one here at school (The one I'll be planning for myself), and two back home (my mom's planning one, and my best friends are planning the other).

Is there anything really wrong with me planning my own? I've had a lot of criticism so far...
