Does anyone have one today? I posted mine in 12-24, but wanted to post here too.
I think some women are way too hard on their in-laws. Don't get me wrong, some people have every reason to be. But I would say most people don't. We will all be in-laws one day, many of us MILs to our DS's wife, and I would assume it can be a hard adjustment at first. MILs have to find that right balance between being involved and being too involved.
Ever since I had DS, I have had a greater appreciation for my MIL. I want nothing more than my children to be as close to her and FIL as they are to my parents. I try my hardest to make sure time is divided equally, especially with holidays.
I hope one day, I will get the same respect from any future DILs/SILs. It seems that way too often, the woman's parents get the better end of the deal when it comes to grandparenting.
