How much Tylenol can we take?

I've been wating for a few hours to hear back from my dr, but do any of you know how much tylenol we can take at a time? I'm running a fever and I've just been taking one 500mg tylenol at a time but I know I would feel better if I could take a second, or at least my fever would break. TIA!!!
