XP: Did anyone have low betas to start?

I got a very faint BFP on Sunday at 9 DPO (eight days before AF was due) and a darker BFP yesterday. Had my betas done yesterday at 10 DPO (7 days before AF was due) and it was 11. Doctor said that while it's low, they think it's consistent with where I am in my pregnancy, which is very early. I go back for another beta tomorrow afternoon and will find out the number Thurs. AM. I know it's not really the first beta number that matters, but at least doubles in 48 hours, but I'm starting to get worried it's too low. ETA: OBs office read the # wrong. They just called back to say it was 19. That makes me feel better.
