bright nursery

My mom thinks that the nursery is going to have to much bright colors in it... is this possible?  This is the first time she has said anything concerning any of our choices, but she seriously thinks that our child is going to have to much stimulation in the room. 

The colors I chose or kind of a mellow lime green, a darker teal, and orange.  And the walls are going to be the lime green, the ceiling will be teal and then I have orange rugs and other little accesories picked out. 

Maybe she's just concerned because we always had white walls and pastels when we were little, but I don't want a "baby" room I want a room I won't have to repaint or redecorate until the kid is older.
