2nd Stage Sequential Results

Given my "advanced" age of 34 at birth, my results were weighed down by the age factor.  Everything came back fine, except the Down's test.  The age factor with my blood work and 1st ultrasound put me at a 1:45.  I went ahead and made the appointment for the GC and amnio because our schedules are somewhat inflexible,  I'm waiting to hear back from my midwife (tomorrow) and am just trying not to freak out about the miscarriage risks of the amnio and whether I should wait until the 2nd ultrasound. 

 Anyway, not really a "whoa is me", just trying to see if anyone has anything positive and life affirming to share, or if anyone has any experience either way with results and amnios.
