What could have this have been??

Woke up from a deep sleep in horrible pain at 5am.  It was a cramp like feeling bottom left side of my belly.  Could the baby have been sitting on a nerve or something?

I had to get up and walk around a bit for it to stop.   Kinda scared us.  Never had anything like that with my first.  

Would call my doc but its Sunday.
