OH NOOOOOO!!! Gained 8 Pounds in ONE month!

I can't believe I have gained 8 pounds in one month! I am so scared this weight gain will continue at this rate! I am 22 weeks today and I have like 4 months to go! What can I do? Should I try to plateau off? I don't know if it's safe to lose weight while pregnant. Thanks all!
