Hi ladies,
Four weeks ago during our AS, they detected a calcification on our baby's heart, which is a soft maker for Down Sydrome. Of course, searching the internet can scare a mother even more, but when doing this I found so many mom's wondering about what only 1 marker could mean.
While my doctor does not want to re-check via ultrasound for 4 more weeks, she gave me the promising news that only 1 marker on an ultra sound has NEVER resulted in a baby with Down Syndrome in her 11 years of practice, and that having a soft marker is not indicative of more/future markers on subsequent children.
I don't know....this made me breathe easier, so if any of you are waiting on similar news, I thought you might want to read this
