NPR: What to do with old CDs?

DH has thousands of old CDs that he's collected over the years.  Now he orders music on iTunes, but we still have a huge collection of CDs that we need to do something with.  

We don't want to store them any longer.  Is there a place to sell them?  Would you try ebay or craigslist? Is there a need out there for CDs anymore?  We'd like to try to get a little $ from them (it's probably 300 CDs?) but I guess Goodwill is the last option!
