Baby Shower at A park?!

My sister an sister -in-laws are planning for my baby shower. We're planning to just have one big one, and most places for rent are really expensive ( I live in the Los Angeles Area).

My question is, is it tacky to have a coed baby shower at a park? We have one nearby that has sheltered picnic (gazebo and bbq pits) and we're going to have it on April, so weather shouldnt be bad.

I really didnt want a traditional baby shower in the first place. It'll just be a big gathering for our friends and families to celebrate the baby on the way.

Any ideas? I would really appreciate it.
