how to find pediatrician?

i just learned from my birthing class that before i go into labor i have to write down our ped. name. i did not know this. my friends told me they could use any dr that was at the hospial at that time.

i'm also on badgercare, so i dont know if i need to have a certain dr or how exactly that works?
