Sudden, weird breast pain

Earlier today I had a really weird, sudden pain in my left breast. I spent ages googling it, but all I could find was the wrong kind of breast pain. Whereas the internet had a lot about a sudden burning or stabbing pain within the breast, this was a stinging pain in the skin. I actually ripped off my shirt and bra because I thought an insect was stinging me. It lasted about ten seconds, but then as I lifted my breast to look for the insect it came back as a dull, all-over breast ache AND the stinging in the skin.

Has anyone ever experienced something like this? If it makes a difference, it was on the right side of my left breast, near the nipple and above my bra cup.
