how many times a day does/did your 2 month old eat

DD is EBF and has always eaten 7-8 times a day.  is there a point at which they eat less frequently?  she only gets up once during the night so to get in her feedings, she has been nursing basically every 2 hours during the day.  just wondering if/when she may spread her feedings out/drop one
