Lighting at night to feed by?

What kind of lighting do you use?  We have been sleeping downstairs the past month with a lamp on in the other room...just enough to see by.  Not sure how I am going to breastfeed without stimulating her too much) when we move upstairs since a nightlight isn't bright enough and the hall light is too bright. I used to have a touch lamp with three settings but that's long gone and I can't find another one.  Is a 25 watt bulb too bright for baby?  I don't wanna wake her with too bright a light each time through the night....
