Contractions?

Hi ladies!

 I woke up a few times last night (not sure how far apart from each other) with intense pain in my lower abdomen. I think my stomach was hard (things are always a bit hazy in the middle of the night!!) and the pain went away after a minute or so. Today I have had nothing, no pain at all. Do you think these were contractions? I've had a ton of BH but they are always painless, and these were definitely painful!! I know it doesn't mean much if I just had a couple contractions, but I'm just curious if maybe (fingers crossed!) my body is gearing up.

 

Thanks in advance!! I'm a FTM and I'm still trying to figure all this stuff out...
