Monitor that links with iphone/ipad?

Ladies- DH and I have both heard of monitors that link with iphone, ipads. However I dont know where i heard of this or how to go about finding one. I have tried google with little luck. Does anyone know of any such devices? DH would really like something "high" tech. He has put him self in charge of the monitor but hasnt really found anything either. At one point I think he was talking about a small video camera that we could watch on line (our internet is a locked connection) But I'm not sure if he has changed. The only constant in his thoughts has been linking to the Iphone/iPad.
