when will my period show up!!!!????

I am nearly 7 weeks pp and have yet to get my period. Now I was breastfeeding. but stopped after my baby was 4 weeks old. He is strictly formula fed now. I just got my birth control pills but cant start them until my first period. I am dying for the baby dance (TMI IM SORRY) and dont want to risk getting pregnant (cant use condoms DH has serious allergies!) Anyone else get their period a little late? any thoughts? I think its because I did breastfeed for 4 weeks
