Moms with Crohn's, Colitis or IBS, a question for you...

I have Crohn's Disease and I take Remicade for my Crohn's.  

I was at my infusion today and the nurse that administers the Remicade asked me if I was having a c-section.  I told her I wasn't planning on it and asked her why she asked me that.  She told me that most GI's suggest having one so as not to "strain" too much.

I haven't seen my GI in months because my Crohn's has been pretty much in remission since the beginning of my pregnancy and didn't see the use in going to see him but now this is bothering me, particularly since I am planning on a home birth.

Has anyone's GI recommended a c-section due to your condition??
