Should we get a stand for the moses basket?

#2 is due in 10 weeks and with #1 we borrowed a moses basket with rocking stand. The one we borrowed isn't available so we are buying a $30 moses basket this time, but I hate to spend the $60 on a stand to go with it when it's used for such a short period of time and takes up so much storage space. 

What do you think? It is worth the money to have the stand or is it fine on the floor?
