Getting DS to sleep on his own.

I need help! My DS will not sleep unless he is laying on my chest or cuddled in right beside me! I have tried many times laying him in the bed away from me but still in the bed, cradle, crib, swing, vibrating bouncer...He lasts in any of these maybe half hour if I am lucky so I always give in and back to my chest or snuggled in beside me he goes. I am getting very little sleep and DH works overnights so is not around to help. Even though I love him more then anything this needs to change. I have 4 weeks before I return to work and hope to get it figured out by then. Any advice is appreciated! TIA
