Question about cramps (especially for 2nd time mom?s)

I?ve been having a lot of menstrual like cramps over the past few weeks. It?s very sporadic, some days as little as five, other days as many as twenty. I met with my doctor and she said that cramps can sometimes happen, especially with second pregnancies and/or if the baby is really active. I have a sono scheduled for Thursday just to make sure everything is ok, but I am curious if anyone else has experienced this. I guess I?m just trying to find a little reassurance while I wait for Thursday to roll around!
