C-section Recovery ?

I just had a csection 2 days ago but wanted to know if you ladies had any tips on recovery. I'm a little swollen today so the incision looks a little funny. Should I use Mederma on it and how soon? I also have a compression garment on which my doctor told me I could use right away, but didn't know if there were any other tips on getting a flat tummy back?
