Stripping of the membranes...

January 2012 in 3rd Trimester

Today I had an appointment and they said starting at next weeks appointment they will check my cervix. They brought up stripping my membranes. Has anyone had any experience with this?

I would ultimately rather my baby come by himself when he is ready. They said if he doesn't come by February 12th then I will be induced on the 12th.

Thanks in advance for any information you can give me.
