Why is this okay???? (small vent)

I don't understand why, when as soon as people find out you're pregnant, they feel that they can say WHATEVER they want to you.  A friend of mine is due in 3 weeks and was told today "I can't believe how giant you are" by a coworker.  She's not giant, she looks fabulous and is only 5'2" tall.  

 

I'm due in May and was told by another coworker last week that "my hips are getting wide" and then yesterday another coworker said "I can't believe you're already showing."  I'm 21 weeks, what the h*ll do you want?

 What is up with the rude comments?
