Baby shower help

So my sweet SIL-to be is planning our baby shower but since I am a wedding planner she is giving me control over what I want. The problem is my DH and I cannot agree on anything! He wants to have a co-ed cookout at our house. It's like he is mistaking a baby shower with his birthday!! I am fine with the co-ed part and I don't really like the baby games and stuff but am I selfish to think our baby shower should be a little classier than a cookout?
