Anyone else NOT want a shower?

I've been thinking and I'm pretty sure I don't want a baby shower. This is my first baby.

Last June I had my bridal shower and I'm sure it will be similar.  It will be mostly DH's family and friends. They will hardly talk to me even when i come around to talk. You never would have known they were there for me. Then four or five of them went in for $50 gift card. Thanks....

I wouldn't expect any big ticket gifts from anyone at his party. Also I have picked out what i really want and i don't want a crappy clearance version of it.

Then there are the shower games that no one is really interested in.

I was thinking about talking to my SIL about just have a girls day instead. Maybe four of us go for pedicures and then out for a meal. I think that would be way more fun.
