This is why I hate seeing every OB in the office.

I had my 35w appointment on Tuesday, and had my first cervical check. This particular OB simply said "You're shortened but still closed, and his head is right there." I had other questions and forgot to go back and ask her what 'shortened' even means...I assume it means effaced, yes? I know if his head is right there then he must be dropped, so that wasn't confusing, I know closed means I'm not dilated. I'm seeing one of the two OB's who owns the practice next time, so I know I will get a percentage and the whole nine...but now I'm wondering if I'm completely effaced?

Remind me not to see her again! Talk about being uninformative.
