Question for L&D RN's...

I was wondering why I was put on bedrest during delivery after the doc broke my water? I didn't think to ask my nurse at the time because I didn't really have a desire to walk around. But for future reference, I'd like to know why they do that. I wasn't on any medications for induction. The only thing I can think of is they don't want you leaking fluid all over the place lol
