Did DH really just say that?

We were talking about how I have no shame in wanting an epi and meds during labor. Then I was joking that I can't imagine DH ever going to a hypnobirthing class or being my coach for a med free birth. Totally not the kind of guy DH is, he wouldn't buy into it. Then he goes on to compare a med free birth with that time he had to get a root canal and the vi Odin they gave him didn't work. I stared at him and asked "did you really just compare birthing twins with no meds to a toothache?" he didn't see what the big deal was....
