If you have two car seats...

Did you put one behind the passenger seat and one behind the driver's seat or did you do one in the middle and one on the edge? Trying to figure out the best way to position our toddler and son to be. I remember putting the infant seat rear-facing in the center of the backseat, but not sure what to do if there are two. Any help or web site suggestions would be appreciated! thanks!
