A woman that I work with had a beautiful baby girl yesterday and one of my coworkers called her today to see how she was doing. After she got off the phone with her we started talking about labor and delivery being that I'm pregnant, and the other two girls have had kids. Come to find out the one who just gave birth was pre-eclamptic and was given magnesium. She hasn't been out of bed since Monday night because of the medicine, and she tore so bad she needed 28 stitches! The other two girls proceeded to talk about their deliveries and how they tore and how nurses would come push on your abdomen and all of the "stuff" would come out after delivery.

Now I know that all of this is coming my way and I have heard this stuff before so I don't know why it's bothering me so bad now. Maybe because for the first time hearing it, I know that I will be going through it in 5 months...A little freaked out right now!
