Are you getting a mirror to see baby in the car?

I am thinking about purchasing this mirror for the car because I am nervous about driving with the baby and want to make sure I can see her if I need to. But I also read these are not safe - they can distract the driver and in an accident they can be a hazard. Are you getting a mirror? Why or why not?
