Epidural?

I know they can extend the labor process because it numbs you, so you can't feel anything. Therefore it kind of inhibits the ability to push constructively... Maybe the article is biased. I'm sure the effects of epidurals on babies can't be that bad, they've been doin em for a while now and we aren't all screwed up. How do you feel about epidurals?
