Coombs positive baby (re-post from Jan 2012 board)

I had my baby boy on 1/12 and it was a wonderful experience until one of the test come back that he has Coombs.  I just now learning more about it but was wondering if anyone else has had to deal with this and what your child's outcome was.

FYI- Coombs is when some of mom's blood passes through the placenta , because our blood types are not compatible, the baby's blood is attacked.

My experience: He was in the hospital two more days than I was due to jaundice and now we are still watching his jaundice and that he doesn't become anemic.
