unsolicited advice from November mom

Hi ladies, I just had my 1st baby in November and really wish someone would have given me this advice.  I didn't realize how many gifts we would receive after she was born, so I wish I would have written down the gifts when I got them.  Getting thank you notes out was a pain in the arse trying to remember who got us what and and trying to remember if I had actually sent one.  I also had to send DH to get a box of thank you cards and stamps.  I was totally unprepared for this.
