Why it was done, your stats as of induction, and how it progressed and ended?

I'm 40w5d today and if baby doesn't come on its own, I have an induction scheduled for Thursday at 8am.

Thanks ladies. 

ETA: Even if you didn't have a great experience and/or it ended in a c-section, I still want to hear your story. I want to be realistic about my expectations.
