Does your baby do this?

The last four days, DS wakes up at least once a day seeming disoriented.  I will be holding him and his eyes will pop wide open and like he is frightened.  Then they he will look all around and even makes funny noises or sucking/licking motions, but looks disoriented.  It takes him a minute or so to seem with it.  Just wondering if that seems normal.  I have his 2 month appt in a couple of days and plan on asking the doctor.
