First period post partum (tmi)

So I got my first period after delivering even though I'm breastfeeding. I know that it's suppose to be heavier, but I'm soaking pads about every 2 hours. I was trying tampons, but those were soaked and had to be changed about every hour. I have clots and it's worse than what I had after delivery. Is this normal?
