My husband and I attended our birthding class on Saturday.  Everything seemed to be going fine until we got to the part about early labor.  Our handbook listed all of the things that should be happening during early labor  i.e. walking around, taking baths, preparing ourselves to go to the hospital.  The best part was on what the husband/father could do to help.  It listed the normal things i.e. encouraging mom, loading the bag in the car...then it listed "make yourself a sandwich"....Our instructor said she had no idea how that even got printed. 

 So ladies, make sure that while you are having those early contractions and worrying about everything else, you encourage your man to make himself a sandwich!!
