I'm looking for a green cradle Baby Ecotrends sells a cradle for $850 that is
- Certified organic cotton mattress included
- Mattress is free of PVC, vinyl, phthalates & polyurethane foam
- Mattress meets/exceeds all federal & state flammability standards
- Made from sustainably harvested domestic hardwoods & Arreis, certified green MDF
- Non toxic, water based finish
- No off-gassing
- Meet/exceed CPSIA lead & phthalate standards
- Meet/exceed ASTM safety standards
- For babies up to 25lbs, not yet pushing up on hands and knees
- Made in the USA
I found a cradle on craigslist by the same company but its not green. Its made in China and is made from asian hardwood and MDF. Its being sold for $290.
The company sells a non green model of the same exact cradle for $390. It's made of kula wood, I'm trying to find out if its made in the USA.
I plan to keep in the baby's room to store toys after 3 months. Since I haven't started shopping for a crib yet, do you think I'm spending too much on the cradle? From what I've read I don't think MDF, pressed wood is safe and I don't want anything from China.
