Who puts their LO on their belly?

My DD (10 weeks) loves to sleep on her belly but we only let her when she is on mine or DH chest. We are trying to get her out of her carseat to sleep at night so today i started for naps. Everytime I laid her down on her back to sleep shed wake up within 5 mins crying and id pick her up and shed go right back to sleep. I put her on her belly on the third try and she slept for an hour!!! I was right next to her crib to afraid to leave the room When did everyone start putting their babies to sleep on the bellies? Ive been told multiple things like if they can pick their head up and move it side to side they are fine to be on their bellies and then that I shouldnt ever have her sleeping on her belly until she does it on her own so I just wanted to see what everyone else is doing.
